Smith & Porter’s roots are in the Mill City District of Minneapolis near St. Anthony Falls on the Mississippi River. While no longer the industrial center that it once was, the area has been reinvented over the years and is now home to the internationally renowned Guthrie Theater, the thriving Mill City Farmers Market and hundreds of newly constructed downtown residences.

Directions
Our restaurant is located in the vibrant Mill City neighborhood and surrounded by charming historic architecture. We are one of the few restaurants near The Guthrie theater in Minneapolis, and we’re excited for you to experience everything this downtown neighborhood has to offer.
If you’re driving to Smith & Porter, you can take the following routes. Please note that you will enter through the main building lobby.
From the North:
Take I-94E towards downtown and exit at 4th St. Continue along 4th St until you reach 2nd Ave. Take a left and continue until you reach 2nd St, where you will take a right. Our restaurant will be on your left.
From the East:
Take I-94W to the 7th St exit near downtown. Continue to 11th Ave S and take a right. Drive to 2nd St and take a left. Continue for a half mile. Smith & Porter will be on your right.
From the South:
Follow I-35W N to downtown and keep left to stay on MN-65. Continue onto 5th Ave S and drive until you hit 2nd St. Take a left and our restaurant will be immediately to your right.
From the West:
Follow I-394 E to the exit for Washington Ave. Continue until you hit 3rd Ave S and take a left. At the next intersection, take a right at 2nd St. We are on the left on this block.
